bugle
That boogie-woogie bugle boy from Company B must have been incredibly strong to lift a whole ox and blow through its horn. Actually, not really. The Latin bos, “ox”, is from the same ancient root as the English cow. From bos comes the Old French bugle, “wild ox”, whose horn was used as a musical instrument, or bugle horn, later shortened to just bugle.
