It’s November 5th, and everyone is gathered around the big fire, throwing in potatoes and warming their hands. The guy is on top of the fire, the old clothes and straw stuffing burning merrily away. Well, you think it’s a guy, but it may be a real body! In the old days, that’s just what the bonfire was for - to burn corpses. The bon part is actually bone, so the fire is actually a bone-fire.
